Cherry Sauce

A delicious sauce perfect to add on top of desserts!

Ingredients

Recipe

  • 2 tablespoon(s) cornstarch
  • 0.75 cup(s) granulated sugar
  • 4 cup(s) fresh or frozen (and thawed) sour cherries with juice
  • 1 dash(es) salt

Cherry Sauce Directions

Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt in saucepan.

Stir in the cherries with juice.

Cook quickly, stirring constantly, till thick and bubbly.

Reduce heat and cook 1 minute longer.

Serve warm with pancakes.

This sauce also makes a great topping for ice cream, pound cake,or cheesecake. It freezes beautifully, too.
